The Lowly Daffodil

Some of my British forum friends have commented that they consider Daffodils weeds. Evidently they are very prolific there and therefore overlooked as the beautiful flowers were recognize here. The staff at my apartment complex does a great job at rotating all sorts of flowers during the year. I took this photo just outside my back door one day and got some strange comments from the resident at how I took the shot. You guessed it, I was laying right on the ground next to the flowers shooting up at the sky. I also took the shot just after sunrise to get that golden light that makes everything so luscious I like the blue color behind the brilliantly yellow of the Daffodils. The older I get the harder it is to get down there and even more difficult to get back up. It’s not pretty!
