When Marilyn took me on my first tour of the Uxbridge area we turned down Chestnut Street to visit a local farm and pick up some dairy products such as eggs. As we drove down this picturesque country road my tiny Smart Car was bombarded by something that sounded like small meteors falling from the sky. It sounded like large hailstones hitting the roof of my car. I knew it wasn’t hitting the hood or trunk because My SmartForTwo Pure doesn’t have those, just a roof.
Here’s a clue, “we were driving down Chestnut Street”. Yup, you guessed it, we were being pelted by falling chestnuts, also known as buckeyes. Welcome to the country Bob, look for dents and dings in your car, compliments of Mother Nature! LOL
