As with most plug-in filters there’s a whole lot you can do inside of the software other than what you think you can do. Topaz Textures is such a software package. You can make all your basic adjustment such as brightness, contrast shadows, color balance etc. You can expand your adjustment to textures, borders and vignettes. Topaz Textures has the most comprehensive vignette controls I’ve ever seen in graphic software. You have complete slider control over every aspect of the vignette including size, shape, opacity, feathering and contrast.
The photo below was enhanced by a lot of those controls putting finishing touches on an already good photo. Topaz Textures is easy and quick to learn and use. It’s taken me about 20 minutes. There are dozens of tutorial already on YouTube and the Topaz website. There is a full function free download for 30 days so you can try it before you buy it. There’s a version for Windows & another for Mac users. You don’t even need Photoshop to use it although I’ve already figured out how to integrate it into Photoshop CC 2015 thanks to a YouTube tutorial on how to do that.
