Better Light, Better Pictures

I enjoy sitting in front of my apartment and photographing all my backyard animals. Squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits and birds abound as my property borders an area considered woods. The critters come out to munch on the clover in my yard as well as the bread chunks thrown out there by my nextdoor neighbor, Al.

I use my 55-200mm zoom for most shots but it still helps to have decent light so that I can maintain a higher shutter speed. Today proved quite sunny and bright so up goes the quality of shots captured. I concentrated on the squirrels today, merrily munching away as I photographed them from a distance. As they get more familiar with me they venture closer in peace, knowing I’m not a threat.
